Little India: Tour of Kalustyan’s market on East 28th Street; sampling of Indian sweets & chaat (Indian savory snack). This tour can also be held in Jackson Heights, Queens, which is even richer in Indian markets and restaurants.
Chinatown: Tour of various markets (Thai, Chinese, and Japanese); sampling of dim sum, soup dumplings, and bubble tea (and so much more).
Union Square Greenmarket: Tour of Union Square Greenmarket; sampling of seasonal produce, fresh cheeses, and many other market goodies. Learn how to shop like a pro and eat vegetables and fruits you’ve never tried. COOKING CLASS OPTION: Take our chef-instructor home with you and cook up a feast together with all your fresh market loot: $150 extra for a 1.5 hour class.
